david bologna (buh-LONE-yuh) began their artistic journey singing, dancing, and acting in musical theatre across their respective hometowns of new orleans, louisiana and austin, tx. beginning piano and voice lessons at seven years old, they also became a competitive irish dancer winning regional and national championships as well as placing fifth in the world championships. at thirteen years old, david went on to be cast in the original broadway production of billy elliot the musical as michael for which they received a 2009 tony award nomination for best performance by a featured actor in a musical. in 2017, they received their bachelors degree in performance arts from new york university’s gallatin school of individualized study, and most recently obtained two more college degrees as a student at austin community college. david now holds a certification in digital composition and an associates degree in music business, performance, and technology — both from the audio technology and industry department. david is a passionate singer, an original songwriter, a unique producer, and a practicing witch. they alchemize their artistic gifts and killer kindness to create new sonic worlds of queer spirituality where audiences are empowered to be themselves and cast their own spells.
